Two kinds of opportunity

Roles on our own team, and roles we place people into at client organisations. They are different things, so we keep them clearly separated.

Join our team

Most technical roles here include teaching

It is the mechanism that keeps our curriculum honest, and it makes people markedly better engineers. If that sounds like a distraction rather than a draw, we are probably not the right fit.

  • Delivery and teaching, both

Most technical roles here include teaching a cohort. It is the mechanism that keeps our curriculum honest, and it makes you a markedly better engineer.

  • Small senior teams

Engagement teams are two to five people. You will be in the client conversation, not receiving instructions from someone who was.

  • Learning budget that gets used

An annual budget and dedicated days to spend it. The time is the part most companies leave out, and the reason most budgets go unspent.

  • Health, dental and vision

Employer-contributed cover for employees and dependants, with an HSA option. Exact contributions are confirmed in the offer.

  • Retirement matching

Employer match with immediate vesting. No cliff, because a vesting cliff is a retention mechanism rather than a benefit.

  • Genuinely flexible hours

Evening teaching means unconventional schedules are normal here rather than tolerated. Remote and hybrid both fully supported.

Open roles

  • Senior Cloud Engineer

    Cloud & Infrastructure

Lead migration and platform engagements for enterprise clients, and teach one DevOps cohort a year. Both are part of the role, not an optional extra.

Our hiring process

Five steps, roughly three weeks end to end. No unpaid work, no take-home longer than two hours, and an answer either way.

  1. Application review

Read by an engineer on the relevant team, not filtered by keyword. You get an answer either way within a week.

  2. Introductory call

Thirty minutes on what you have built and what you want next. Bring questions — this runs in both directions.

  3. Technical conversation

Ninety minutes discussing your work and working through a realistic problem together. No whiteboard algorithms, no take-home longer than two hours.

  4. Team conversation

Meet the people you would work with, including someone from a different practice. For teaching roles, this includes a short teaching sample.

  5. Offer

Within three business days of the final conversation, with the salary band stated. We do not negotiate against other candidates.

Questions first
