Overview

This policy explains what personal information Novel Technologies LLC collects, why we collect it, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to this website and to the training, consulting and staffing services we provide.

We collect the minimum we need to deliver a service or answer an enquiry. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with advertising networks.

Information we collect

We collect information you give us directly, and a limited amount of technical information collected automatically when you use the site.

  • Contact details you submit — name, email address, telephone number, organisation and the content of your message
  • Application and enrolment information — background, work authorisation status, résumé and assessment results, where you apply to a programme or role
  • Engagement information — the business contact details and project details necessary to deliver a client engagement
  • Technical information — IP address, browser type, pages visited and referring page, collected in server logs
  • Communications — records of correspondence with us, so we can maintain continuity of service

How we use information

  • To respond to enquiries and provide the services you have asked for
  • To assess applications to our training programmes and to open roles
  • To represent candidates to prospective employers, with their knowledge and agreement
  • To administer contracts, invoicing and payroll obligations
  • To maintain the security and reliability of our systems
  • To meet legal, tax, regulatory and audit obligations
  • To improve our services, using aggregated information that does not identify individuals

Candidate and participant information

If you apply to a training programme or ask us to represent you for a role, we handle your information with specific commitments.

  • We do not submit your details to any employer without telling you which employer and obtaining your agreement first
  • We disclose to prospective employers when a candidate has completed one of our training programmes
  • We do not charge candidates any fee for placement services
  • You may ask us to stop representing you at any time, and we will cease new submissions immediately
  • We retain application records for the period described below so we can contact you about suitable future opportunities, unless you ask us not to

When we share information

We share personal information only in the circumstances below, and only to the extent necessary.

  • With prospective employers, where you have asked us to represent you and agreed to the specific submission
  • With service providers who process information on our behalf — hosting, email delivery, applicant tracking, payroll and accounting — under contracts requiring them to protect it
  • With client organisations, where necessary to deliver a contracted engagement
  • Where required by law, regulation, subpoena or other legal process
  • In connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to the acquirer honouring this policy

Cookies and analytics

This website uses only cookies that are strictly necessary for the site to function. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels, and we do not build advertising profiles.

If we introduce analytics in future, we will update this policy and, where required, request consent before any non-essential cookie is set.

How long we keep information

  • Enquiry correspondence — 24 months from the last contact
  • Candidate and application records — 36 months from the last activity, or until you ask us to delete them
  • Engagement and contract records — 7 years, to meet tax, audit and professional obligations
  • Server logs — 90 days

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a portable copy of your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Virginia and other states with comprehensive privacy laws have specific statutory rights.

We honour these requests regardless of where you live. To make a request, email us using the details below. We will verify your identity before acting and respond within the period required by applicable law — normally within 45 days.

We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of in that respect. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any privacy right.

Security

We use encryption in transit, access controls limiting information to staff who need it, logging and monitoring, and regular review of our security posture. No system is perfectly secure, and we will notify affected individuals and regulators of any breach as required by law.

Children's privacy

Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We will post any changes on this page and update the date shown above. Where changes are material, we will provide additional notice — by email where we hold your address for that purpose.
